Day3 - Finish
Stewart and Mark have completed the last stage of the rally. All that remains is for them to drive back to the service park and cross the finish ramp to claim 21st place overall.
Analysis of their stage times shows that their finishing position belies their real pace. Stewarts' and Marks' stage time position was regularly in the mid-teens however the time lost under Super Rally rules on the first day when they had to pull out due to a broken tailshaft was insurmountable.

Day3 - After 31 Stages
Stewart and Mark are rattling through the stages today. Good stage times are helping them move up the results. They are currently in 25th position.
Commenting at the finish of stage 31 Stewart said the S2000 Corolla was a delight to drive...a credit to Neal Bates Motorsport and the team...it's a privilege to drive it on its' WRC debut.

Day2 - Wrap
The day went smoothly for Stewart and Mark. The stages were a little slippery early due to rain. Stewart and Mark set consistent time through out the day.
The only minor problem dogging them is a small intercom problem which has been solved by swapping helmets.

Day2 - Update
Stewart & Mark re started the rally today under Super Rally rules after a broken driveshaft forced them to stop on day 1.
The good news is that we will see them back out on the stages but the bad news is that they are out any sort of contention due to the penalties imposed  by the Super Rally rules.

At the spectator point on SS22 the eyewitness reports said they were trying very hard and Stewart was using all the road in spectacular style.

In other news from the Corolla teams, Neal Bates & Coral Taylor, car 60 had a moment at speed and unfortunately damaged the engine radiator. Hopefully this will be fixed so they can re join the event for the final day.

At Kingscliffe Service park today Stewart said he was enjoying the stages although they were a little slippery in places due to rain. He mentioned that the numerous bridges were extra slippery.

Day1 - SS1 & SS2 wrap.
After a long wait we finally got to put down a time on the Murwillumbah street stage. Reports from other drivers were that it was quite slidey and they were spot on. It was tentative start for SS1 but the time was OK. This was just the second time on tarmac in this car for us. The second run over the same piece of road, SS2 was about 4 secs quicker. We go home to bed in 26th position overall.
It's any early start tomorrow with stages to the West early in the day before a major service near the coast around 1pm before heading Westward again to round out the day with a run over the same stages we did tonight.

DAY1 - SS1 & SS2
The crowds are definitely out tonight to see the excitement. We don't start until around 8:00pm local time. Looking forward to getting underway although a bit nervous about letting the clutch out for the first time as it can be tricky to launch the S2000.

Day 1 - Rally Start
The Rally starts with 2 Super Special Stages around the streets of Murwillumbah. These stages are the only ones where lights are needed.
Stewart & Mark are getting nervous and are trying to soak it all up. Not long before they are under way.

Rally Australia 09 - Northern rivers NSW - Day 1
We completed an uneventful shakedown this morning in readiness for the start of the Repco Rally tonight. Our times were in the 1min 52sec range, which is not great but we hope to show some better speed tomorrow once we get a few stages under our belt. The car feels great and Mark & Stewart are ready to go.
