Datsun 1600 historic rally car is nearing completion. The car has
been painted and the L series engine, 5 speed gearbox car and R200
diff have been installed. The 4 wheel disc brakes, pedal box and
associated plumbing are done. The doors have been reassembled and
hung. The dash and the custom wiring loom have been installed with
some minor work to finish. The fuel tanks and fuel lines have also
been installed. Some minor work to the windscreen wipers is needed
to complete the car. The Drifter is not far away from completion although progress has slowed somewhat with the Datsun rally car project taking most of our time. The engine, transmission and Ikeya suspension are all in place. Lately we have been concentrating on the set up of the Autronic engine management system. For some pics click HERE |
